I can't believe my baby is 7 months old! INSANE! She now has a tooth (and she is normally quite the little drama queen but she didn't fuss one bit when that sucker popped through!), says "mum", gargles with her spit nightly, rolls CONSTANTLY, sits like a champ, and pulls to stand unassisted on me. Way to go Skittle!!
She does have some weight issues though. She's only in the 10th percentile for weight and 25th for height (I know looking at her pictures you'd never know as she has chunk in all the right places but, really, she's tiny). At her 6 month check up, she was 14 lbs 11 oz. I asked my mom what I weighed at 6 months and I was 14 lbs 10 oz. She's a chip off the old block. haha! The doc really wasn't concerned as she has doubled her weight and reaching her milestones just fine. Of course, *I* get a little paranoid because she isn't eating solid foods well at all. I mentioned it to the doc and his only advice was, "Keep trying." Gee, thanks. I guess it has gotten a little better in the last 6 weeks, although she still gags and vomits with chunky foods. After about a tablespoon of puree, she just won't open her mouth anymore (ok, so I wouldn't want to open my mouth either if I was going to gag and vomit...so part of me understands). It's frustrating though. She can't gain weight if she won't open her mouth! She will however, open her mouth for those little Gerber puff things 100% of the time. She sure likes those! Anyone have any suggestions to help her eat more??
