FET Transfer Day...again

Ok, so I just got done with my third FET transfer, the second one after little Skittle was born. Things were all around much better this time.

I don't think I mentioned before that I had to do PIO again this cycle, much to my poor tushy's dismay. I still got an allergic reaction but it's less intense since I'm treating it with lidocaine/hydrocortisone cream. I can switch over to the suppositories now though. Apparently, I *have* to do the PIO to get my uterine lining to show that I'm in my luteal phase of my cycle. Five days of shots are better than 3 weeks I guess, but I don't have to like it!

This really has been a community effort to get me pregnant. My dad is here with me in AZ this time as my mom is watching Skittle. DH just couldn't get any time off. I also wanted to give a special thanks to my father-in-law and Ms. B for watching P during all my appts. I just couldn't do this without you all!!!

Alright, here's the skinny on my FET. I had assumed that they froze my remaining nine embryos in three separate straws. Well, that wasn't the case. They froze them in two straws, five in one and four in the other. Because I wasn't able to get pregnant with three, they decided to be more aggressive. They thawed the straw of five. I was a bit shocked. What's interesting is that all five survived the thaw! This time all five were of excellent quality (just like my fresh IVF cycle with Skittle) so I had a decision to make. I had:

Two 8 cell
One 6 cell
Two 4 cell

I was given the option of transferring either the first three or the first four. I decided to put back three but also try to get the two four cell embies to 8 cells and then refreeze them. Dr. G was much more hopeful this time around. He even told me that one of the eight cell embies split again after they had checked on them. That's great news! I'm much more hopeful this time too.

I go in on Thursday for a progesterone blood test and then it's the pregnancy test in two weeks.

Thanks for all your prayers! I'll let you know how it turns out...
